The Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag is the ultimate baby sleep sack, crafted from New Zealand's finest, softest merino wool to create the perfect safe micro-climate around baby's body for thermal comfort and well-being. Winner iF Product Design Award.

Two sizes: Baby 0 to 2 years | Toddler 2 to 4 years.

All-year-round use. Ideal for standard room temperatures from 64°F to 75°F.

Fabric Benefits
Merino wool is nature's smart fiber and the fabric of our times. Soft as silk, yet durable. Warm yet breathable.

Merino has the remarkable ability to regulate body temperature. It captures and circulates air to insulate baby when the room temperature falls, and releases excess body heat and moisture as the room temperature rises. Baby stays warm and dry through night and day without overheating.

Research shows merino is the ideal fabric for baby sleep sacks. A 2010 AgResearch study determined that babies sleeping in Merino Kids' newborn merino sleep sack are less likely to overheat or to become damp or chilled compared with synthetic polar fleece sleep sacks.

Itch-free and allergy-safe. Naturally fire resistant; rated low fire risk. Machine washable, can be tumble-dried.

Design Features

Patented safety belt aperture enables safe travel in stroller or car seat.
Baby has freedom to move naturally and room to grow yet they can't slip underneath, nor wriggle out and wake up cold.
Contoured bodice stays clear of face.
Full-length self-locking zipper down one side, away from face. Zipper sewn inside lining so won't scratch. No harsh, noisy velcro.
Opens up flat for easy dressing. Unzips bottom-up for quick diaper changes
Fits growing child safely and comfortably for up to two years. Quality workmanship ensures years of wear. Excellent value compared to other sleep sacks that last only a few months.
Outer layer is 100% natural long staple cotton for extra durability.

Grobag Chick a Dee

We bought the Grobag Chick A Dee since the northeastern winter months is drawing near and I wanted our 10 month old to get use to it. The blanket is fairly long for our 10 month old but we bought it with the thought of her using the Grobag again next year. It definitely keeps her warm and I don’t have to keep getting up in the middle of the night to put a blanket on her. For the fall evening with the temperatures as low as the 40s, we layer on a short sleeve shirt underneath a long sleeve onesy and her Grobag. By wintertime, we will probably layer a long sleeve shirt under a thicker onesy and her Grobag.

Grobag Chick a Dee Crib

The only downside is that the baby is unable to crawl or cruise in the crib because her legs are in the blanket. The great thing about this particular one–as opposed to the other Grobag that snaps on at the shoulder– is that I leave her bag zipped only halfway, leaving her feet exposed to move about as she pleases. She has been less fussy since we started only zipping halfway down (note: the zipper on this Grobag zips from top to bottom). The blanket is a super soft cotton (not the synthetic fiber from Halo) and thickness is just enough to keep her warm without overheating. Also, the blanket washes and dries well. Would highly recommend Grobag Chick a dee.
